On Easter day i.e. 8th April 2012, a Christian town named Christian Park, Mehmood Booti Sallahudin Road, Baghpura was attacked by the Muslim people and the members of Jamait-e-Islami organized this attack.
Back ground/ Reason for the attack: The Muslims are in Majority in the town as everywhere in the country, on Easter day when the Christian families were coming out of the Church after the Easter church the Muslim men that were sitting outside the Church started mocking the girls and Christian women. Three of the Muslim men named Ibrar , Jaji and Afzal held the hand of a Christian women named Kiran bibi and started pulling her towards them . the people who were coming out of the church stopped Ibrar and his fellows not to do that meanwhile Kiran started raising hue and cries, upon which the Christian men and her husband and brother-in-law came out and a quarrel raised between the parties. The local Christian and Muslim men intervened and the parties were distracted. After that everyone went to their houses, later on Easter Monday Ibrar and his fellows contacted Jamait –e-Islami group and told them that Christians were talking against our prophet and they have also beaten us. The member group of Jamait-e-Islami named Shabab-e-Milli went to the Christian town along with the guns and other firearms and attacked the Christians of the town. They entered their houses, torn the clothes of the Christian women making them naked, and injured the men and women of the town brutally and left the town raising slogans against Christians and the Christ.
The Voice team came to know about the incidence and reached at the spot. The team comprised of Aneeqa M. Akhtar, Shahid Anthony, Khurram Akhtar, Mr. Gohar, and Mr. Mehboob. We took the injured to the hospital and called the police at the place of occurrence. The police registered a case of quarrel between the parties. The voice team gathered the people and blocked the Shalamar Road and agitated against the police. Later the Voice Coordinator Aneeqa. M. Akhtar along with the Voice team met the DIG of Police and insisted upon the registration of FIR against the culprits under the Anti-Terrorist Act. Later on 9th of April by the evening the DIG(Deputy Inspector General) ordered the police to lodge an FIR Under the Anti-Terrorist Act. The FIR was lodged successfully under Sections 7ATA/ 149/146/427/452/354 PPC . the Voice Team is also trying to add the section 354-A in the FIR against the culprits named, Ibrar, Jaji, Afzal, Naeem, Adeel, Asif, Aslam, Mian Farooq,and Naveed.
The date for the bails in Anti-Terrorist court No 2. Mr. Abdul Rehman Khan Judge Anti-Terrorist Court is pending for 19th of April. The Voice group of Lawyers will appear in this case to contest the Bail.

Update: the Bails of the culprits have been cancelled by the Anti-Terrorist Court after the strong arguments of the Voice Lawyers, now the Challan is pending in the Court for further proceedings. The Voice lawyers are presenting prosecution.
